The Ancient Targe Neolithic Art Medieval Shield represents fertility by depicting four pregnant women. This shield is a handmade reproduction of a Targe used until 1726. In 1726 at the Battle of Culloden many Targe Shields were destroyed and banned. The shield was almost always carried in one hand and made of wood with each shield having some of it's own unique features and chrome wrapped designs. This reproduction shield is handmade with solid hardwood, the boss and the women and star design are made of steel. Around the edge the shield features a aluminum chrome wrapping. The rear of this historical shield has a genuine leather arm strap and wooden handle grip.

This is an authentic Scottish Targe Shield reproduction made by hand and is not a mass-produced item. Due to the nature of making it with original hand working tools, slight variations may exist from the pictures.
